Over the years I've bought a number of tripods and have always ended up disappointed. Not this time. This is a very solid unit, and I never doubted its ability to hold my rifle safely when locked and provide excellent freedom of movement when released. I did lubricate the ball with graphite as advised on the website and it runs beautifully. It did cost me a few hundred dollars more than I was used to paying, but it's worth every cent. I feel that I can trust this tripod and that is important when go bang sticks are involved.
